One Life Photography Competition 2012
0One Life is one of the largest photography competitions that allows photographers from around the world to share their life experience through photography.
The competition is in its 3rd year and awards over $75,000 in cash awards in addition to other benefits, such as featuring your photographs in famous photography magazines and exhibitions.
The competition is open for photographers from around the world who are 13 years of age or older. It allows you to submit both digital and film photography that visualizes your life through a wide variety of categories, such as:
- People: includes different people-related photographs, such as portraits, self-portraits, conceptual & candid and anything that is focused on a person in the image.
- Places: includes different photographs concerned with places, such as city imagery, landscapes, travel photography and anything that mostly focuses on a location or scene.
- Things: includes photos that are related to objects, such as still life, studio images, macro images, micro images and anything that is focused on an object.
- Ideas: includes artistic-style photography, such as conceptual and artistic imagery, narrative series and anything that expresses an idea.
The contest awards the best photographs with three types of prizes. The Grand Prize, Story prize and Early Entry Award.
The Grand Prize winner will receive $25,000 in cash in addition to the following benefits:
- Two-page feature in the PDN magazine
- Joining the Photoplus Expo exhibition
- Joining the gallery exhibition as See // Exhibition Space
- Four-page feature in the One Life Photography Annual catalogue
The Story Award winner will receive $7,500 in addition to the same benefits of the Grand Prize winner.
The Early Entry Award winner will receive $1,000 and an online feature by Artists Wanted.
The competition is judged by elite photographers from around the world and photo editors from famous magazines, such as People, Fast Company, PDN Magazine and Mother.
